Meeting Rooms in Bournemouth the perfect place to do business
If you sell for a living and look after a territory like the south of England, then from time to time you will have to visit potential clients in Bournemouth. A beautiful place to go on holiday or visit for a spot of site-seeing but for the traveling salesperson its in the middle of nowhere.
Electronic communications have come a long way and software like Skype have made life a lot easier for those who do business across a large territory. Skype gives you the opportunity to see into some ones eyes and as most communication is non verbal then this is imperative if you are trying to build a relationship with the person you are talking to. However, if you want to do business with that then you cannot beat a face to face meeting.
Unfortunately, this almost always means a long and boring journey around London and almost always means you have to meet the potential client at their office. Which is never ideal.
For one thing, the person you are meeting may well decide to have the meeting at their desk. This is a disaster for a salesperson as this often means that they are constantly distracted for phone calls and people pooing in for a chat.
The alternative is find a room off site, somewhere that is comfortable and has hot and cold drinks on tap. A place where you will not be disturbed and the perfect place for this is a hotel. Its not the easiest thing in the world to entice someone from the relative safety of their office but if you can then your chances of securing the business can be greatly enhanced.
A couple of important points to take into consideration:
1. Make sure you use a meeting room and don’t sit in the lounge area.
2. Make sure that there is coffee, tea and something to nibble.
3. Make sure, if you have a presentation that the room has the right equipment to show it.
4. Make sure that the hotel reception knows who you are meeting so that they can greet them professionally when they arrive.
5. Make sure that they have a reserved parking space.
Get the above in place before you start making calls and you could have two or three meeting lined up in the same place, saving you time and ensuring that you have the best opportunity to secure the business.
